
From JR Uji Station, we were off and running (actually, walking at first).

We soon crossed the majestic Uji River

And then ran along the river. Rivers are the best!

And don’t you just love a good suspension bridge!

The famous Byodoin Temple. It’s pictured on the 10-yen coin—but it cost 600 yen to get in!

The post-run public bath. Soooooo soothing.

And finally—of course—beer and eats. Today it was sushi.
To order, you had to use a smartphone app, so for most of the meal everybody was looking at their smartphone screens. Not the most sociable way to eat. Next time we’ll go to Sushiro!
